Substance Abuse Services

Big Stone County Family Services provides Rule 25 Chemical Use Assessments to determine a person’s need for treatment.  In addition to the assessment, case managers may assist in making referrals and provide some on-going case management.

In the state of Minnesota, treatment for substance use disorders is funded for state residents who don't have insurance coverage and have significant income limitations. This fund is called the Consolidated Chemical Dependency Treatment Fund (CCDTF). Eligibility and authorization for funding of treatment is handled by Social Services, a resident's tribal social services agency or the managed care plan.

To schedule a Chemical Use Assessment, you may call Big Stone County Family Services at 320-839-2555, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
