Retired Senior Volunteer Program
Big Stone County Family Service Center serves as fiscal and managing host for the RSVP Volunteers United program for the counties of Big Stone, Chippewa, Lac qui Parle, Swift, and Yellow Medicine.
RSVP is a National Program that was established in 1973. We have provided volunteer services to area communities for more than 25 years.
RSVP Volunteers United is a free service available to adults who are interested in being part of the solution to meeting their community needs through volunteerism.
RSVP Volunteers United members are matched with their local non-profit agencies, organizations, and/or licensed health care facilities to make a positive impact in meeting community needs.
RSVP Volunteers United members share their time, interest and experience to serve their communities in areas of:
Education
Environment
Health
Human Services
Public Safety
RSVP Volunteers United members are valuable resources to their communities. Volunteers serve as role models to others in the community, encouraging then to join in volunteer services. Volunteerism is also a way to generate unity among community residents.
RSVP Volunteers United members provide service on an occasional, frequent, or regular basis whatever suits their schedules, interests, and abilities.
